What is a Legacy Class?

The Legacy Class program pairs the most recent class of cadets with the class that graduated 50 years before. For example, the Class of 1977 is the Legacy Class for the Class of 2027. The role of the Legacy Class is to engage and support a current class of cadets throughout their four years at the Academy.
A 47-month cycle encourages engagement between the two classes. This begins —even before Inprocessing Day — with an ice cream social at Doolittle Hall, the Headquarters for the Association of Graduates (AOG).
Other engagement opportunities include invitations to milestone events such as the Acceptance Day Parade, Exemplar Dinner, Commitment Dinner, Ring Dance, 100s Night, and more.
